Organization: Crossroads Baptist Church of Gilbert, Inc., Located in Gilbert, South Carolina, is hereby organized upon the Foundation of the Christian faith and principles set forth in the Holy Bible.  Crossroads Baptist Church of Gilbert, by this instrument declares itself to be an independent, conservative, missionary, evangelistic, dispensational pre-millennial, Bible, Baptist, autonomous Church, holding true to the fundamentals of the Christian faith. Crossroads Baptist Church shall remain as an independent Baptist Church and it will never become a member of any association or convention.

 

Mission:

The purpose and mission of this Church body shall be, by the help of God, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, to carry out the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ as stated in Matthew 28:18-20, and to provide a place where believers can grow consistently in their faith. 

 

This will be accomplished by the following:

A.  Salvation

Every member shall be urged to assist others in taking the Gospel of salvation to the lost, but is expected and encouraged to personally seek the lost as well.

B.  Baptism

Baptize all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and give evidence that such is true.

C.  Evangelism

New converts shall be instructed and taught in matters of Bible study, Christian conduct, church attendance, personal soul-winning, prayer, outreach, and tithes and offerings to support the local work and missions.

D.  Faith

Provide a positive fellowship for born-again Christians based upon a thoroughly biblical and historical Baptist foundation without compromising.

E. Missions.  

It shall be the policy of this Church to support only those missionaries who are seeking to carry out the Great Commission of Matthew 28: 18-20 in its evangelistic effort.  It is essential that the missionary have a confession of faith in hearty agreement with our confession of faith, both in doctrine and in practice.
